My Statement of Faith

 

1. I believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who died for our sins and rose from the dead (1 Cor 15:1-8).
    

2. I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God; that it is God-breathed, a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (2 Tim 3:16, Ps 119:105).
    

3.  I believe that every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, that we are justified freely by His grace through the redemption of Christ (Rom 3:23-24), that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who by faith trust Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (Jn 3:16).
    

4.  I believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (Jn 14:6), that if we confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved (Rom 10:9). 
    

5. I believe that we are saved by grace through faith, and that salvation is not of ourselves--it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast (Eph 2:8-9).
    

6.  I believe that the church is the body of Christ on Earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and that it exists to save the lost and edify the saved (Eph 4:1-16).
    

7.  I believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to Earth and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (1 Thess 4:13-18).
